Hosting Opportunities for 2008

Are you interested in showcasing your business to fellow business people from the Assabet Valley Region? If yes, consider hosting either a Business Breakfast Network Meeting or a Business After Five Networking Meeting in 2008. To host a Breakfast, you must be able to provide a simple breakfast and seating for 15 participants. To host an After Five, you must be able to provide refreshments and room ample for a minimum of 40 attendees. We will be scheduling these events during the first few weeks of December, so reserve your marketing opportunity now!

Speaking Opportunities

What better way to market your business than have an opportunity to talk about what you know best! The Chamber is seeking speakers for both its seminar series and for the Women's Business Advisory Council. If interested in either, email the Chamber today.

Coalition for Giving

We still have a handful of families that need to be sponsored for the holiday season. All families are qualified as low income, and have requested clothing and toys as appropriate. Average cost per child is in the $75 to $100 range. If interested in sponsoring a child, a family, or making a monetary donation, email the Chamber today.

Volunteer Recognition

Special thanks to Dave Herrington (Active Oak LLC) for helping us remove our air conditioners! Also, our appreciation is extended to Mary Beth Parker (Citizens Bank) for assistance at our Stow Family Chiropractic/SuAsCo After Five.

Ain't email grand? That being said, we have had numerous requests to forward email on behalf our our members, so it's time to clarify our email distribution policy!

Members are encouraged to include event information in our monthly email bulletins. To do so, we need all the specifics--who, what, where, when and contact information. We need to receive this info by the 20th of the month to guarantee inclusion in the next month's bulletin. We'll also put the information on our web site. If we make a mistake, we'll resend information with the correction--but only if the mistake is ours to own up to.

Additionally, we do bi-monthly mailings. Occasionally, we're able to fit in member news. It comes down to timing and space. However, members always have the opportunity to include a flyer in the mailings at a the very reasonable rate of $60 ($40 for nonprofit).

  • Committee Spotlight: Ambassador
  • The Ambassador Committee meets 7 times a year on the 2nd Thursday of each month, 8 am., in the Community Room at Citizens Bank in Hudson. Ambassadors welcome new businesses, facilitate ribbon cutting ceremonies, and help assure that all feel welcome at our events.

Committee participation provides a great opportunity to increase contacts. This team is currently chaired by Dave Rykbost of Dave's Landscape Management. If interested in joining? Email the Chamber and we'll put you on the distribution list.

  • Member Benefit Opportunities: Lists & Labels
  • Did you know that your Chamber can provide you with business lists and labels? We can email members, in Excel format, a list of current members, or even a list of every business in Berlin, Bolton, Hudson, Maynard and Stow. Furthermore, we can also provide these lists in label format. We can provide you with a papy copy for free, and you can run your own 1" x 4" labels, or we can provide the labels at a minimum fee of $20-$50, depending on the size of the list. Interested? Email the Office today!
